Funny the way the world works - I was thinking of a friend yesterday who I googled a few years ago to catch up with and found out he'd died. I was shocked. We were in our early 40's. It was too early for such a brilliant guy to be dead.

Your post has inspired me to write about my best memory with him - to mourn him and mourn a friendship I allowed to get lost along the way.
