I caught Tom Petty at the Hollywood Bowl in LA once. I was blown away by their set. I'd always liked their music but wasn't a big fan until that night. Jett opened for them and at the time I might have been a little more excited to see those guys but they couldn't hold their own with Petty. Amazing night and amazing band.

Great story too about the early days. It's fun you got to see him before it all went huge. I had no idea Gainesville was such a scene.
