I rarely read articles about success on Medium but your headline intrigued me. I jumped into things and learned along the way but have recently been attempting to read more on the platform as part of my daily writing practice. The surprising thing to me, which you address really well, is the satisfaction of engagement. I’m meeting new people, something I didn’t set out to do or anticipate, and it makes this platform fun.

In hindsight, I would have adopted your approach and would recommend it to anyone just starting out. Understanding the mechanics and nuances of the environment would have been invaluable when I started. Reading is important and easily overlooked.
