I saw a similar experiment played on television recently. I had experienced difficulty with it as well, after moving countries. It’s fascinating how something universal that we experience such as the passage of time, is filtered by our means of describing it and communicating about it.

Doesn’t it follow to a certain degree that limitations on our means of communication change the way we perceive anything? How much of our conscious experience is predicated on language?
