Paul, you're gonna hate me for doing this to your beautiful story. It was really poignant with some strong writing. However, my ex called me 'daddy' despite my asking her not to. In fact, my 'verbally scolding' her resulted her in doing it more often and more emphatically, especially in certain moments. I had to balance two visions in my head while reading your piece - your daddy moments and mine, and they did not mix well. If I didn't need therapy when I woke up, I need it now. Some stories should be skipped. Some comments should def be skipped, but we're friends now and this is what you will get from time to time. Heh.
