We usually tread carefully around volatile topics. This has been more volatile than most because of the scale of the pandemic and the response and because it hits home against 'personal liberties' such as choosing to wear a mask or get vaccinated.

I've traditionally had little patience for anti-vaxxers but I traditionally haven't slept next to one. We're very different people - she's a vegetarian with a massive sweet tooth and I'm a carnivore who never touches sugar - but we manage somehow.
